Not sure what to think of this chapter. Nest was more or less always shown to be pretty…… “rough” in how it handles issues, like it was always more morally grey and suspicious in some parts, working for the majority even at the sacrifice of the individual. But recently they have been made to look a lot worse, and I’m not sure I agree with the authors choice on that. At the rate that things are going, what’s the point in being accepted back into nest if we’re gonna start hating them, or they’re gonna turn out evil? If that happens, all the effort to prove his innocence to them would have been a waste of time. Especially the new student council member is way more sadistic than he needed to be. They could have made him more neutral to it, or have it be a bad choice of words, while still angering Hanseong once he found out he did the autopsy.
I really liked the aspect of the two groups not actually being against each other, but just really unfortunate happenstance and grudges like Hanseongs keeping them from cooperating properly, and while it’s still an amazing story, I can’t say I like the direction it’s currently going of making nest lean towards the darker side. I also can’t imagine the old explosion teacher being ok with some of the parts of nest we’ve seen, and he was absolutely in a position to have known about it. I’d very much like to hear others opinion on this, so what do y’all think? Am I just rambling nonsense, or does anyone else feel the same?
