Honestly, I’d prefer if this whole sub-plot of her getting infected weren’t here, and I don’t mean in that cringe “oh nooo, my waifu!!! Please don’t hurt her or make her hurt anyone!!!”.
Between the assassination of breeder, dealing with his operations to prevent large scale spread of jungle juice, and saving Suchans old crush, and the potential tensions regarding San and the professor being in a vulnerable state, it’s really just an unnecessary addition. We already have plenty of tension.
