I can understand their fear and doubt, most of them have had to live with being hybrids for years, and it’s only now that the wonder drug most could only dream of is being handed out for free? But this level of fearmongering always has an instigator, and I think we all know who stands to benefit most from chaos and discord at NEST here in the eleventh hour. This’d be Pet Shop’s last opportunity to stop its widespread use before regular hybrids saw there was no apparent side effects (at least immediate, it still hasn’t been established what may happen long term), and their last shot at trying to convince regular folks to accept hybridization as a strength to be used, and therefore keep them on the playing field as expendable meat shields or, worse yet, more food-trained slaves. But their clumsy attempt means now’s the ideal opportunity to root out the last bits of rot within NEST before the battle, so I suppose it was a net positive in the end.

It’s a pity that it doesn’t work as well on food-trained individuals, but I suppose that was to be expected given the amount of hassle of trying to reverse three or more genetic profiles spliced together, looks like the mantis hybrid was suffering pretty badly after his dosage. Sorry there Huijin, but as expected Suchan will never be out of Breeder’s sight for long.
