I love how this story mirrors the Kaguya myth, Kaguya goes to the moon, (In this case, the arranged marrige and the shinomiya family.) and she gives her lover an elixer of immortality with the hope it’ll be enough to give him the tools to get back to her. But here we see the divergence, Miyuki’s elixer is the money, and he’s not going to throw it away, he’s going to use it. And climb up all the way too the moon and reconnect with Kaguya. Just as he promised her, all those chapters back. I’m in love, this author is too good.
