just need some clarifications a bit of romance and a clean ending
Unlike the majority of the manga, this ending actually feels nice. Was the final fight way dragged out, were most chars severely underdeveloped, and were many chapters just shouting matches? Yup! We still don’t even know what kaiju really are.
I know there’s a couple of chapters left but I have been reading since day 1 so I feel like I’d appropriately give this a 7. Art ain’t crazy, neither is the plot, but if you binge it and get into the hype, it could probably go up to an 8.
But I didn’t binge. I sat there are multiple chapters in a row they talked for half the time about power scaling monster numbers and the big bad that was so smart didn’t do anything smart 
It is beautiful. I’ll express my full gratitude in the next, the final chapter, but yeah, its lovely.

its a nice ending, but i really wished this anime had a more episodic nature, with an serialized endgame, why cant this be like a monster hunter but with kaiju shit instead of monsters, they do some quests, show the tactics, one time or another a big guy apears, gets its ass kicked off eventually, et cetera, i would preffer this way more, maybe there will be a evolution to kaiju no 8 in this direction, who knows
