just a fact :
the one samurai hold it were called naginata and only commander using this thing…(also using on the horse)
and he also have katana to use in close ranged weapon with wakizashi blade if the primary field weapon become unusable…
Perhaps some kind of linage thing, untapped power from our main protagonist… would be epic to see him actually fuck up some monsters without the need of 8 and then ultimately combine the two powers and fucking own everything
