This reminds me of the one anecdote from Terry Pratchett’s Discworld novels regarding the inevitability of death.
A fortune teller in Ankh-Morpork once was greeted by death, when she looked inside her crystal ball. She was getting real panicky, fled with the fastest horse she could find on short notice, only to get under a landslide on her way.
The way he wrote it is hilarious.
