The reason he always failed back on earth was literally Earth’s God messing with him, so there really was nothing he could have done about that.

The plan of the God from earth was to turn Ryouma into a killing machine, to have him commit terrorism and kill as many people as possible before being killed by the army or whatever police the world threw at him, and he wouldn’t have fallen before killing many of them.
But Ryouma somehow kept his humanity no matter what bullshit the Earth’s God threw at him, to the point his Mental Attack Resistance Skill reached level 9, basically maxed out as skills in this new world cap at 10. That’s also why people fear him whenever he fights against humans, because while Ryouma did resist the influence of Earth’s God, his humanity was still greatly affected, and he feels basically nothing from killing other humans. He is at all times 1 step away from becoming a total psychopath.

im not quite middle-aged yet, but i think ima be dead before this series finishes. Sadly enuff, tho. And there’s still the relatively high probability of this getting axed or the authors pulling a Pratchett or George R. R. Martin
