I will just have to point out that the MC was supposed to be a (p2w) badass in the past so why couldn’t he have entered that hall? Also due to the way how the story plays out, I find it hard to believe that the AI (npcs) are able to operate in such a realistic way – feeling jealous over the MC before meeting him, Sword saint randomly visiting the MO sect to discover the secret of the MO sect, which seems like that relationship might be rather relevant.
AI should generally be limited to certain parameters and each NPC should have a certain behavior traits assigned to them with stats and backstory, and sure they are humanlike, but the world’s story quests need to be able to play out for the players to participate, hence there are supposed to be limits to the NPC/AI actions and behaviors. I feel like the author is blurring the line between a “real fantasy world” and a “virtual world” and is just bending the characters and events to fit what the author wants to write, instead of writing something that would fit the world and characters he created (there is a difference)
It’s still a good read, but it feels like I will need to turn off my brain going forward.
