I’ve already seen the Gaolang vs medel fight before picking this up and actually reading the manga, and I still very much dislike that outcome. It’s extremely unsatisfying for one thing, and secondly it doesn’t suit the kengan series at all. One of the reasons a lot of fighters fight in underground matches, is to fight to their hearts content and prove themselves without having to worry about “losing” due to BS technicalities. Seeing a fan favorate and clearly superior fighter barely lose a match because of some dumb rule completely ruins the fight for me. At least the characters acknowledge it, but it’s still annoying
