After thinking about it, I feel that everyone that has high destructive capabilities but a lack of control should be kept under strict supervision. Just a single unintended spell or a misfire could lead to innumerable amounts of collateral damage and would cost immense fortunes just for repairs.
Everyone is a bit too casual letting a nuclear bomb socialize at a school with children of both rich merchants and nobility. If the MC had better micro management of his magic, or if he had healing, revival, repair, and/or time-reversal magic, then it’d make sense to trust in his capabilities to either not cause unintended harm or to be able to fix his own mistakes when they happen. Trusting the MC’s strength of character would be another story, though.
i would be cool being completely oblivious to how op i was but i would realize it and get cocky
