“power gained without hardship is meaningless.” It’s quite true if one is thinking about power in an honorable setting. However, the demons in this would probably use every available method to destroy the humans. A more reasonable argument for not using the vibration swords would be the worry of the enemy somehow being able to acquire the weapons from dead soldiers and use them against the kingdom. In this case, Shin could probably make up some enchantment that would “bind” the equipment to a soldier in the event that it’s stolen through some kind of mana signature or whatever fantasy idea.
