Well, they were kids who were trained by a disciple and constantly fed praise. Sure they beat “Simulations” and probably never been defeated by said simulations. But simulations can be manipulated, it may be that they let them train in simulations but with varying difficulty so that they can adjust slowly. Also seems like they were engineered to specifically beat “Specific” disciples hence their overconfidence. So not a surprise they grew up to be arrogant idiots.
