The betrayal was foreshadowed a little bit. But what I don’t like is that the human is abnormally strong, without justifications. The dude is about 16-17 years old. How can he face this guy alone and win ?
Obviously, the minotaur will regen, kill the traitor, and save the warrior who was unjustly wounded.

I do think that this kid should’ve stood no chance against the Minotaur in a wrestling contest, Magic Swordmanship and all that is fair to level the playing field, but it is just ridiculous to assume a person could withstand that much force unless they spent their entire life practicing and preparing to be a tank, not a swordsman, also, the force of the blow would’ve broken his neck anyways, even if it didn’t crush his skull, or at the very least, damage his spine, which would’ve probably caused him to release the King.
