maybe im wrong but couldnt they just siege? from what i remember the defenders have superior numbers and are effectively trapped on that hill. kanki army can forage and drink from rivers not to mention those storages might have some food. would that be enough to last a long time? no it would probably only delay running out of food for a short while but the defenders are in a worse spot with nothing but a single hill and no known rivers for water. it would remove any advantage of the hill since they would need to charge off of it.
