There’s an element of comedy to this longstanding manga, where Shin, despite all his efforts to reach the rank of general, somehow always manages to be left out of the loop. There he stands with his d*ck in the wind in front of the gate, while everyone else is already inside. Tou doesn’t even bother to send him an update on what to do. regroup inside or keep pressuring the West Gate and scale the walls as soon as fighting starts inside. Nothing.
When are new chapters released?

Ok. So, it stands to reason that all that is made to preserve some glory time for the Hi Shin Tai. They are the only ones that are still outside the city, on the west wall (so, behind Raku ‘A Kan). It is unclear, too, if Tou informed them properly of the situation (as he said “tell Ryuu Koku and Roku ‘O Mi about it”, but didn’t mention the Hi Shin Tai).
Tou’s situation is actually pretty dangerous. He doesn’t know about Kakou Ryuu or his extremism. If this guy gets his “Security force” to take back arms, and uses some fallacy to have the militia get back to combat (like calling the king a traitor)… then Tou army’s may end up surrounded in the middle of a foreign city by armed troops made up of the city’s garrison and resisdents… This could lead to annihilation.
I still wish Kai and Rei would use their ‘assassin’ upbringing in this kind of situation, to get rid of Kakou Ryuu and protect Nei.
I see how it is. Raku’ akan doesn’t care about the surrender or revenge.
He just wants to take on Tou.

Shin is not being left out of the loop, they’re on the precipice of destroying Han’s legacy so Tou and his army enter the castle from all four sides to secure the exists in case of a sudden attack. The Hi Shin force is posted outside as reinforcements for the worst scenario. Tou doesn’t need to hold Shin’s hand, The Hi Shin force is an independent, force that is LITERALLY the whole point of the unit since Ouki, to be able to make quick decisions on their own. They can’t regroup inside because if a fight does break out in such a dense space- it would lead to confusion and disarray. Why would Shin pressure the west gate during a surrender when they are aiming for a bloodless takeover??? They are trying to de-escalate the situation as they need to quell the anger and angst of the people.
How can you read a war manga but be so ignorant of the war tactics after 800 chapters- now that, is comedy. This isn’t even intricate planning, this is just common sense. Also what weird fetish do you have to have with d*cks to have “with his d*ck in the wind” as part of your everyday vocabulary.lol
