It was good until the brain dead author put his fantasy of a elf lady marrying a little kid.
Hmmmmmm……
This got me thinking a lot of things….
I mean, in that universe, if all elves are half-elves, except their progenitors, their features are very much distinguishable as elves instead of like hybrid with human or any races. Got me thinking that the offsprings of those union can either be pure elves or pure other races due to unique genetic. Just maybe.
I am hoping for a plot twist where she is a dark elf yandere who set up that encounter and this is part of her gaslighting him.
So is every elf a half-elf?
Is half-elf a thing if every elf is half-elf???
If elves were born with that innate flaw, then they are probably just another race of humans and are only elves for cultural or political reasons. I mean, there’s basically no difference between the two races besides big ears and an innate affinity for magic.

Future me, only slightly future, here, IT MAKES NO SENSE AT ALL. THE SECOND AN ELF MUTATED THE GENE THAT MADE THEM UNABLE TO CONCEIVE WITH OTHER ELVES, IT’S GONNA GET NATURAL SELECTED TO EXTINCTION. IT MAKES NO SENSE AT ALL AND NOW EVERY TIME I READ THIS I’M GONNA BE MILDLY ANNOYED.
So if elves have to concieve with a different race, how exactly are literally any elves left? I guess it’s possible if you ignore the possibility of a half-elf being born and in this magical world for some reason, you can only either be your parent’s race or your mother’s race.
