what separates this from isekai slop is the writing of the series, the characters aren’t one dimensional, the magic system is consistent and the MC actually has some good ideas sometimes. Also they’ve been setting up the Lord’s son as the overarching antagonist from the very beginning, his actions have slowly started to affect the MC aswell (at first he just had to hide from the bad adventurers but he slowly had to move further into the forest to avoid them, the new outer wall being messed up and low pay for the craftsmen which hurt the other kids from the orphanage, them needing to protect the food stall, etc)
