This chapter bends the ‘tone’ rules… but possibly only by western sensibilities. I feel like these kinds of jokes probably show up more often with Japanese children’s media than American, at least.
Then again, they did heavily imply the characters were thinking about intercourse previously when Komi and Tadano slept under the same covers. But it was never outright stated, so it still maintains the ‘tone’.
