I’m sure most know, but for those who don’t know, majin simply means demon, it’s just another word for it in Japanese-English. More specifically, the kanji for “ma” means “demon/evil-spirit” and the kanji for “jin” means “person.” So, it can commonly be defined as “demon person.” So, the term doesn’t mean only “demon”, but it’s most common use is when an anime or manga has humanoid demons of different kinds, seeing as “majin” has different meanings, it’s better used in said anime/manga.

I just find it annoying when a manga uses the word “demon” and changes it to “majin” part way through. Idk, I just don’t think it sounds as good.
