Well, its world of magic you dont necessarily need eye to see. Even bat see with sound, AI can detect and make 3D shape of living beings with your wifi. Prolly dont use eye for creativity please?
If he can create those water balls and control them in the air then doesn’t that mean he can feel them.. meaning he should be able to feel the soundwaves passing through them and use echolocation??
At least above would be more believable than somehow registering the light passing through the water ball.. sure our eyes are mostly water but it is the “sensor” at the back of the eye that registers the light…

I enjoyed it, but they depicted his general competence like some isekai that found himself in the body of a blind 7 year old.
People born blind tend to adapt to their situation quite well. Granted it wouldn’t be perfect. His teacher also seems weirdly shocked at his talent given people born that way are famously known for being talented.
I look forward to him developing his magic eyes.
