Legend of the Reincarnated Demon God

Review from up to Chapter 37

Clean art, nothing too spectacular in the battles, but decent choreography. A lot of flashy sword swings but sometimes some decent poses. I don’t think there has been any depth into tactical moves and counters and a display of that in the art. More like Dragon ball fights and less like “Mercenary Machination” (which seems pretty peak for sword fighting right now)

Another murim regression into the Tang Clan. The main MC used to be the head of the Heavenly Demon Sect and has some unnaturally powerful magic he keeps secret, but allows him to draw souls and use their knowledge. In his previous past he wasn’t able to learn martial arts due to his qi centers and what not, but now he gets to use his spiritual death magic as well as martial arts.

There’s a older sister character that isn’t overly sexualized (not that it happens in manhwa tropes very much, but I’m just appreciative that it’s not that way).

He has a bunch of old heavenly demon elders that he killed and captured from his previous life with him who are just there for exposition and humor.

He has a ninja-samurai looking transformation when he goes out in the night to kill people.

It’s hard not to compare it with the other Tang clan stories, but especially the “Becoming the sword master of the tang family” one. The other one is a bit faster with it’s progression of story, which can be good or bad, but in this case I don’t think it matters for either of them in comparison.

7/10 ? Maybe 6.5/10

Will continue to read for now, but It’s no “Regression Knight” or “Genius on Borrowed Time” tier. More like a tier or 2 below that I think.
