At first i thought it just shed its skin/shell and escaped invisible… leaving the shell behind to dissolve faking its own death…
Seriously though… invisible enemy nearby, spray liquid or throw dirt/rocks spray.. make ground muddy so it leaves footprints and dirt sticks to its feet…
