I wonder if the conditions of that penalty were an oversight by the author, or by the translator. There could be certain clauses that will still allow them to break even, or if the guild will sponsor their living conditions so they don’t work themselves into poverty. They’re still an A-rank party, so I find it difficult to believe they wouldn’t find a way to take care of one of their main assets, while still penalizing them for the incident.

i think the guy under me is right if i get 0$ for a quest type i wont do i need to make money AND they are the ONLY A rank party in that town they need them to be happy if my family was kidnapped and then we saved them if the guild force me to pay or do stuff for the “helping” i would leave that town

The penalty to the Thunder Ax party of confiscating all their rewards in war requests is inefficient. They should still be allowed to make some money, half or a quarter, so that the more they participate successfully the more they can make up for the reduced rewards while meeting their obligation to Rei and the guild

If it were me I would refuse immediately. When he took down the imperials it was in a quest, to take down the merchant that targeted Set, and they came at him. As long as they did not mess with him they would not have suffered those losses
