Logically The solution, would be to tell a story to her by mc, of his similar relatable experience, from first person POV, avoiding talking about her situation (letting her connect the dots, see similarities)
What he experienced, what he did..(like her)
What he thought at the time & describe similar treatment… and belief in superiors…
Then reveal the outcome, what happened to his fellow wokers, happened to him as a result…. then his revelations… describing the abusers thought process and intentions…(in his situation)
Not telling her what to do, but revealing knowledge, and a living example of someone who was in a similar situation, and how he now is way better off, his view of his companion and care for eachother and great situation now…
After that, even if she goes back to them, the story will remain with her and she will begin to doubt and be able to see the possible alternate thoughts of her abuser.

What’s the point of sympathy if you don’t even help. The probability of her dying is higher than her getting lucky and finding a place to belong, don’t give a helping hand if you’re too much of a pussy to take her in. MC knows the situation those 2 are in but has no solution even with all the power he has.

As someone who has been in that situation as well, I can only hope for the best for her.
