Explains why the ship probably doesn’t get attacked. Sea monsters probably thinks it’s another sea monster turf. Probably sense it inside so other sea creatures leave it alone. Or something like that imo.

What the hell is he trying? How would building/raising a monster of his own ever help humanity, even if it doesn’t eventually end up growing too powerful and breaking out of containment… Also, what if it disperses microscopic eggs or larva through the water system (sea urchin-style), which then spread through the ship’s drinking water or the open ocean or something?
