by this logic, we can say that the people getting benefits from the ship should pay fees to use the ship and the ship owners are not responsible for providing food and water to those hitchhikers 
if they can’t afford food or water that not means you need to steal it from the owner of the ship. 🚢 the owner already do what he can to help them by giving them the minimum amount to survive. If they need more they either need to pay or work for it !
kicking people that your ship can’t afford to take care of or they are a liability to the owner of the ship is normal but it would be better to be done humanely
