so this guy is kinda opposit of luffy who will only do good things because he wants regardless of reward while this guy does good things because he gets more benefit then if he did the bad thing

Dude, he’s like Dexter! So, he’s a monster. I’m noticing a bit of a theme with humans and monsters in this story.

So dude’s dad is essentially Harry from Dexter… At the very least, he succeeded in the sense that it looks like his son won’t murder anyone directly, even if he does have a casual disregard for human life…
