He’s becoming worse and worse more unlikeable
MC became scum… and he keeps saying sh!t like “that’s just how this world is”, but it is clear that his actions (and the actions of that butler) are unethical to an unusual extent, based on the reactions of the people around them. For instance, when he ambushed those herders in the woods, the fact that they immediately tried to help the children rather than treating them with suspicion shows that getting murdered by children is not a particularly common occurrence. Similarly, this girl’s reaction to MC shows that his forceful sexual violations are not the norm either. Furthermore, all of the talk of thinks like justice and responsibility among the knights and priests (and the fact that MC’s brother is well-respected for being kind and just) means that MC’s absolutely disgusting behavior are not simply consider the status quo.
This is my first time reading a story where I wanted the MC to die and all it took was a single chapter.
