If he goes there he’ll fight more monsters, giving him a big ass amount of experience, he could do the same in the dreamland, but if he wants to be better he has to experience actuall stuff. The liberties this story takes to make MC op are staggering.
I just have to keep saying it but the paradoxes are absolutely fiction breaking.

you forget that he will get hand on experience with humans instead of zombie. He could also fight monsters, make connection with influencial people and maybe find rare herbs that you can’ get normaly to be stronger
