I guess the author is tired of this story and wants to get it over with. He’s just throwing random weird worldbuilding in wherever. I mean he did do a bit of foreshadowing, but this stuff is wack.
It should all fit together more or less seamlessly, but this seems like a bunch of stuff just thrown together.
