These translators and/or the author have no sense of numbers or scale. 5000 people? That’s less than 2% of the population of Mexico City. With all of the martial arts abilities these people have there’s no way they don’t have some way to terraform a planet.
A book or story can only be as intelligent and informed as its author. It can be made better through research, but there’s a limit to that.
They love big numbers but then talk in small numbers. Like 5000 people is not large scale migration. Especially in galaxy standards where they have population in trillions. 5000 people migrating in our own planet from one country to other is already basically nothing to write about news about even. If 5000 people migrate to Iceland then it will be some burden for them as the country have like 400k population. Or Greenland that is like 60k people
