Like legit, take those advanced technologies, release them into the past, and people in the future will be more advanced then you take those new advancements to the past. Rinse recycle repeat till we’re strong enough to surpass the monsters that will come later. Technically… no training for yourself necessary. 
His answer of finding immortality and fighting forever is just unrealistic.

i feel like rn he should probably focus on expanding his techniques since he has a lot to choose from but only uses 4 of them
I have to say that if he didn’t care about his own safety, just releasing the manuals from the future and the recipes he has would greatly effect the future. However if he were to do that indeiscretley he would be hunted down for even more knowledge.
So if it were me untill I reached the point of being the apex I wouldn’t release any manuals to anyone else but my ‘comrades’ who I’d want to upgrade along side me. Even then knowing who wouldn’t betray me would be a difficult task unless I could see that through the dreams, such as making an online document so in the future you could access it to see what the future you put there for people who were trust-worthy.
I also do wonder if the standard level of zombies in his dreams would raise a level or two once he releases the recipie for the blood and bones soup since people would have more time to get stronger. Tbh the very aspect of his profile being slowly updated is strange, it’s almost as if that would be his future if he stopped being able to grow through his dreams at the current point he was at. The fact that he’ll have two daughters and a son seems like a set in stone fact.
