This chapter is a good representation of chinese power culture. All they care about is “saving face” and “oppressing through power”. It doesnt matter if it’s morally right or wrong for them. The winner chooses the rules. That’s probably why they will always be in a constant change between warring states and a few generations of peace. They never learn or evolve, they just get more sophisticated in their methods. Let this be a lesson for everyone coming after my comment: china’s old ways will always hold humanity back as long as they don’t change the way they handle inferiors.
