I get the feeling, that MC’s group is going to be the only group to survive, or MC distinguishes himself in combat and with tactics, that he gets an elevated position.

like how many chapters they spent on side-characters of mc’s gang ?

I get the feeling that Volker’s gonna bite the dust. You don’t spend this much time building up a side character and give him a happy ending.
I hope I’m wrong though. I like Volk… but I’m getting GoT vibes from this arc.
