kinda wish he wasn’t this rash, like she seem insanely powerful and influential, and his family is weak, he hasn’t made quite as much progress yet so instead of pushing her away he could have made a loose alliance or at least ensured neutrality, but author made MC annoyingly irrational in regards to personal relationships
