I thought the noble was evil. Turns out he’s just an încest victim (stūpid).
Some parts the king says:
“What I want is his power”
Does sound kinda evil, but with what he said earlier (life improvement for the kingdom) it is clarified. He also is prepared to give something in return, so he doesn’t just want MC to slave away.

A king that’s kind, wise and understanding? In manga? Now that’s extremely rare! Out of 10 manga i have read, i only see 2 at best.
