So I didn’t read the LN and don’t need spoilers, but I have a prediction that he is actually going to end up saving everyone from Dead Ends in this game. This is what I’m hoping for at least. Don’t give me deaths. I’m already too damn attached to all these characters. Dang it… Now I really feel like someone is going to die that I’m rooting for.

Mc unintentionally making others worse or better then they were in the story

Reminder, Flame is not from the original story, she is from the retelling and is just a normal Korean citizen before entering the story. So most likely, she is thinking that MC is also just a troupe character from the story that didn’t appear in the original novel she read so she just sympathize with MC maybe because she thought he was also just a NPC.
