wait same sex marriage. wow there more advanced then us. imagine if the Tobiouse guy was gay. then all of us would have been alight with it and the MC would have been like “why the f*uck did you marry me. for the money or because you didn’t want to say” then he would have committed suicide and she would have been sad

The hell does “words that just are.” mean? I’ve like this series so far but the whole lovers crap and poly-this-and-that have put me in a bad mood.
After all if that was the case then what reason would there be for the MC’s engagement to have been annulled. Too much after-the-fact additions to the world’s base logic.
