If you make the guy look young, at least don’t copy the novel and call him crusty old man because it doesn’t make sense.
The only way he can look this young in this setting is either like how that ice granny does or he is talented in cultivation – reach higher stages young and you get to keep the appearance. But he isn’t in either cases. And the same goes for Leng.
He is supposed to be around the same age as the emperor and look just as ancient.
