Huge plot hole here. They needed MC to help them place higher to get better rewards, thats why they brought him in. Makes sense. While Double Dragon manor rears talents to resist the Central Region. Also makes sense.
What doesn’t makes sense though is for all of them outright ignoring Gu Santong hundreds of years ago.
