I feel like the emotions he says he is feeling don’t really match his prior character development. Maybe this is a conflict in cultural assumptions?

I love how he’s usually so unflappable but he’s genuinely freaking out now that the gate incident is messing with his ability to go home

I like that he’s finally getting to explore this world, even if it’s probably just a few blocks but at least he’s not just the store and school
