Now we know that the items sold in the story change based on location in this chapter so it is likely everything was just regular stuff during his training so there was no way to think he was in a magical convenience store.
It also confirmed he can control the “anti-magic” ability of his body though it is strange it was brought after the fact when it could have been mentioned to avoid unnecessary confusion. It also seems a little too convenient as though the author noticed the plot hole and tried to correct for it.
