The fun thing is to think that an average modern soldier knows about medieval war strategies. The way we fight nowadays shouldn’t even be close to how we fought 400 years ago, or even more far in time.
modenr strategies and tactics rely on information, and the movement of small groups of infantry and heavy artillery, not in big front lines of spearment and horsemen.
SO he really shouldn’t have much knowledge about it unless he was some sort of history aficionado.
