This is a masterpiece
Most of the stuff around Clara is…awkward. I don’t mind her personality or anything. She’s a good plot-prop for the MC to get the things he needs, and that builds character because that’s the one thing she hates the most, creating instant conflict. So that’s good writing. But this weird trait of putting everything into her mouth is bordering. The mental maturity we saw from her with Nova, when she was telling him to focus on the soil, showed so much growth, and I really loved that! And now, she just goes and eats something she doesn’t even know for certain is food out of someone else’s coat pocket? Seriously, why would she do that? If it was a potion that fell on her accidentally, then I’d been fine with all of this, but that one nagging detail just made this a really boring arc.
I feel like Clara would be great at rehabbing demons as a therapist giving her inner world power.
