Come on, he started teaching those his own age, why not expand that first to teach anyone who wants at least daily life magic?
Then once your town is building power you can go adventuring.

The pacing is off. It is like a psuedo montage. The relationships are too shallow and the dialogue feels forced. This feels like an iseaki trope checklist more than a coherent story.
