But there is a plot point where Nell almost gets married off by the Cardinal, so that he can further his connections with other countries, but Yuki stops it. But it was a really tense scene for me, since Nell felt she owed the church enough to almost do it, or at least talk to her “would be fiancee” which was a fatso middle aged dude thats into young girls, especially virgins

Look, I’ve been thinking this for a while now, isn’t a bit odd that she uses honorifics for an older brother for her boyfriend/fiance? I know they’re not actually related, and that the use of such honorifics shows closeness which made sense before they got together, but unless they’re going for íncest roleplay I’m sure there are other terms she could use
