Truth serums are always a funny concept. Since it’s not some omnipotent magic that reads all world events to determine the thruth and just considers users “truth” through heartbeat or some other ways. Maybe it does even read peoples memories since it’s a magic worlds truth serum. But that still means that a Delusional person for example would fool the truth serum. Since they believe in their delusion sincerely as truth.
I’m waiting for the moment I know will definitely come, not because I read the novel but because it’s reasonable to assume, that when MC has to disprove the truth serum’s credibility, he would drink it and proclaim himself to be of royal status or something. and so, people would either have to believe that the either the truth serum doesn’t work or he was actually of royal blood
