One’s time is limited… sure, emperors get to live tens of thousands of years, that’s definitely not enough to master a dao or two to the emperor level, right? :lolchik:

When it comes to what they said about needing to focus on one DAO to succeed.
Their view/focus is dependent on point of view and intent.
The specific opinion they are expressing, is complex explanation, but can be basically broken down into… we want you to become an easy to understand and exploit, useable tool.
If you are Martial, we use you to fight.
If you are alchemy, we use you for alchemy.
If you are mixed… you can do whatever you want and we can’t predict or control you because you have workaround we can’t think of or predict… making it harder to use you as a tool if the people above cant comprehend it…
When someone becomes the MOST knowledgeable… they become king.
And that’s why knowledge is power, and everything is hiding knowledge and trying everything to keep it secret & hoard it / gatekeep block access…
(Trade”secrets”, oaths & contracts when getting certification which specifically try to prevent you from become a grandmaster and bypassing the teachers, non disclosure agreements & inventions that exist being kept secret, building schematics when buying a house NOT being shown so you cant see the inner workings to see how they are scamming you)
