Let me guess…the two old folks will engage and will result in a stalemate…swindler-hero will ask MC to extinguish skelly-villain…but MC will not do so immediately….the skelly-villain will feel the jade’s presence and will think him as his clan’s disciple(like the shark dude who died a few chaps. back)…now both the parties will ask MC to help win over the other. MC will fake it to attack the swindler-hero stating he has had old grudges for swindling bla bla bla and will win the trust of skelly-villain…who will lower his guard and will be eventually devoured by the Emperor-Embodiment. The swindler-hero will thank MC and vow to keep his secret(of the Devouring Art Practice by EE) a secret…stating that if there is no heart then there is no heart demon…a wise thing and what not other praise.
